Vitamins are Not Dangerous

Have you heard the latest? Vitamins will kill you! As more and more health-conscious people turn away from prescription drugs and toward natural medicine, pharmaceutical companies are scrambling to put together studies to disprove them. Don’t be fooled by these so-called studies. They’re just an attempt to scare you.

New “Studies” Claim Vitamins Will Kill You

If you believe recent studies, prostate cancer is caused by omega-3 fatty acids and multivitamins cause older women to drop dead of heart attacks. In the multivitamin study, they make you believe that all multivitamins are dangerous. What they leave out is the fact that only multivitamins with iron should be avoided by older women as it could increase their chances of cardiovascular disease.

The prostate cancer study is even worse as it turns out there was no actual study done at all! Get this, the so-called data that states men who take omega-3 fatty acids are at increased risk for prostate cancer was taken from a larger study. No actual human beings were studied. The study just took men who had prostate cancer who happened to take omega-3 fatty acids and invented the conclusion that the fish oil must have caused it.

Ridiculous!

These studies also never seem to take other nutritional factors into consideration or whether or not the vitamins taken are synthetic or derived from whole food.

Over 100,000 people die from taking prescription medications each year and a staggering 2.2 million suffer adverse reactions and these studies are focusing on vitamins?

Something doesn’t add up.

Why You Can’t Get Your Nutrients from Food Alone

Most of the products you now think of as food weren’t on your favorite supermarket shelf 50 years ago. A highly-processed diet is one of the primary reasons you need nourishment in the form of vitamins. It may surprise you to know that even if you eat a completely organic diet, you still need to take vitamins. According to a study conducted by the University of Colorado, the nutrient density of our food has declined by an incredible 50% over the past 100 years! This means you would need to consume double the food your grandparent’s ate in order to get the same amount of nutrition.

The Frightening Consequences of Malnutrition

We are so nutritionally-deficient in the 21st century, that 19th century diseases are making a comeback. Scurvy, caused by severe vitamin C deficiency, causes horrible symptoms such as spongy, bloody gums, spotted skin, leaking wounds, jaundice, and eventual death. All this from lack of vitamin C in the diet!

Rickets, a condition caused by vitamin D and calcium deficiency, is now seen in 1 in 5 UK children. This bone disease causes bone pain, low blood calcium levels, failure to thrive, muscles spasms, and widening wrists.

It has also been shown that many mental health disorders can also be traced back to nutrient deficiencies. Vitamin D, magnesium, B vitamin, and omega 3 fatty acid deficiencies can result in anxiety, depression, mood swings, mania, and even schizophrenia. Most psychiatrists do not take this into consideration when prescribing medication. They just dole out drugs to suppress the symptoms instead of considering an underlying physical cause.

In July of 2013, the American Medical Association officially classified obesity as a disease. What this new discovery fails to mention is that Americans are among the most nutrient-deficient people in the world. When you eat only highly-processed food, you’re eating a bunch of chemicals that may taste good but don’t provide you with any actual nutrition.

The longer you eat this type of “food”, the hungrier you get because you’re not getting the vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats your body needs to function. Also, additives like high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, and aspartame interfere with your normal metabolic function and hormone levels, causing you to gain weight uncontrollably.

These are the true hidden causes of obesity.

Not All Vitamins are Created Equal

The only time vitamins can be unsafe is if they are synthetic. The kind of cheap vitamins you find on your grocery store or pharmacist’s shelf are not healthy for you. Most of them are loaded with synthetic sweeteners, dyes, and dangerous additives. Magnesium stearate, for example, is a common “flow” agent that has been linked to suppressed immune system, digestive distress, and even cancer.

The best kinds of supplements for your health are whole food supplements. Unlike synthetic supplements, which are man-made, whole food supplements are derived from natural food sources. These vitamins are easy for your body to absorb and make use of so you get the most nutrition for your investment.

The Supplements You Need to Stay Healthy

The 5 most common nutrient deficiencies are:

  • Vitamin D3 – Vitamin D3 deficiency affects millions in the United States and Canada. It has been shown to contribute to the development of autoimmune disease, skin cancer, rickets, and mental illness. Most naturopathic and osteopathic physicians recommend 2,000-5,000 IUs per day. The best way to tell if you have a vitamin D3 deficiency is to have your blood levels checked.
  • Magnesium – Magnesium deficiency is the most common mineral deficiency in the world. Without this essential mineral, you’re at risk for neurological disease, insomnia, obesity, and mental illness.
  • Omega 3 – Omega 3 deficiency affects nearly 90% of the population due to a highly-processed food diet and declining fish consumption. Learning disabilities, mental illness, skin disorders, arthritis, and heart disease have all been attributed to this common nutritional deficiency.
  • Vitamin C – Scurvy, low immune resistance, easy bruising, mood disturbances, and anemia are all signs of vitamin C deficiency.
  • Zinc – Men with zinc deficiency often experience symptoms of low testosterone such as erectile dysfunction, mood swings, and loss of libido.

Vitamins are not dangerous unless you overdose on them or take synthetics. Investing in high-quality nutritional supplements can enhance your health by addressing nutrient deficiencies and filling in nutritional gaps.

Don’t be frightened away from healing supplements by fake studies.

If you’re concerned about your nutritional deficiencies, talk with a naturopath, osteopath, or a nutritionist about the health risks associated with them. A blood test can reveal where you’re lacking and the best nutrients suited for your individual needs.

**Recommended Research**

Our food just isn’t as nutritional as it was when our grandparents were alive. Now-a-days we have to take vitamins and nutrients just to meet our daily serving requirements!

But if you’re like me you are confused about which ones are the most essential, I don’t want to take 5 pills a day to get enough nutrition!

I’ve done pretty extensive research on the topic and found what I call the “missing ingredient” in modern food sources. It’s not actually a food though, it’s a nutrient and it’s just starting to receive recognition in the U.S.

Doctors and patients in Europe (especially Germany) have known about it for years. Some athletes know about it too, it has helped them recover from injuries faster and they’ve started to talk about how it’s helped them.

I can’t say enough about the healing qualities of this nutrient. But don’t take my word for it, read this letter to find out all about its medicinal abilities.

Enjoy!
