The Truth about Butter

In the war of deception against our good health, we have lost many friends; salt, fat, and eggs chief among them. But one of the most maligned foods that has been vilified and replaced with alternatives that are devoid of nutrition and harmful to our health is butter.

In the late 80s and early 90s, we were told that butter was making us fat, clogging our arteries, and killing us by the millions. What we got in its stead was margarine. Margarine was developed originally to fatten turkeys for the slaughter. When the poultry industry found other substances that worked better, the companies that owned the leftover margarine still wanted to sell the stuff. So they colored it yellow to mimic butter and sold us a bill of goods. We were told butter was killing us, and that we needed a lean replacement. Margarine is lean alright- it’s totally empty of nutritional value.

You’ll notice that the health industry stood by and said nothing while this lie was being perpetuated. Angry yet?

And you can guess what it has been linked to, that’s right- cancer. Oh yeah, and heart disease too.

Butter, on the other hand, is our wrongly maligned friend. Butter helps increase our ability to absorb other nutrients, and it tastes a whole lot better than margarine. But the benefits of butter don’t stop there.

Most people believe butter increases weight gain, even most doctors still believe the lies of the margarine lobby. But they are wrong.

Butter contains butyric acid. This substance reduces inflammation. Inflammation has been linked to a whole slew of diseases and disorders affecting every organ in the body- but particularly the vital organs and the brain. When we suffer from system-wide inflammation, our digestive tracts become less efficient, blood pressure increases, and the many poisons that would normally be contained by our intestines escape into the bloodstream. You can just imagine all of the damage that would cause.

Butyric acid also lowers our insulin resistance which means the body will contain more insulin- which will result in weight loss. It also supports good gut bacteria and colon health for better digestive health.

The downside to this story is that just eating butter alone will not help you lose weight. If you still eat the standard American diet with high carbs and high protein, butter will not be enough to help you lose weight. The key is to use the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting- and to use butter to supply the fats you need.

So, we should have learned our lesson by now that natural foods are better than the fake and phony foods that are being pushed on us. That means, the more natural your butter is- the stronger the health benefits will be. In the past, people only ate foods that came directly from natural sources. Even in large agricultural societies, the animals were grass fed- and were free of all hard to pronounce chemicals.

It’s going to be a bit more expensive, but grass-fed butter is far richer in the highly valuable fatty acids that our bodies require to rebuild bone, cartilage, neurological fats to help our brains to function well, support healthy hormone production and distribution, and so much more.

Butter has more than 400 different types of essential fatty acids. In an age when it’s very difficult to get fish that isn’t full of dangerous heavy metals- this huge amount of fatty acids can help to replace fish in your diet.

Hopefully, this sheds some light on the fact that the low-fat diets that have been pushed on us for so many years now are depriving us of necessary fats. Over the past twenty years, neurological diseases and allergies have been on the rise. Without these critical fatty acids, we literally begin to whither.

It’s almost like someone wants the majority of the population to be sick and weak.

Now, we’ve saved the best for last. Natural grass fed butter is one of the best ways to get the amazing K2 nutrient. K2 does some amazing things. It has the ability to relocate calcium from places in the body where you don’t want it, like in the formation of bone spurs and in the kidney, and redirects it to where it needs to go to support bone growth and bone regeneration.

Best of all, butter is one of those foods you don’t have to kill your cows to get, which means if you’ve bought the cow- you’re all set.
