Pfizer Announces ’90 Percent Effective’ Vaccine — DAYS After U.S. Election Results

U.S.-based pharmaceutical giant has announced the completion of a vaccine to treat COVID-19 mere days after media outlets called the U.S. election for Democrat candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden.

President Donald Trump, who just weeks before Election Day promised a vaccine would be announced “very soon,” has alleged that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has colluded with Democratic Party operatives to delay the announcement to hurt him politically.

“The @US_FDA and the Democrats didn’t want to have me get a Vaccine WIN, prior to the election, so instead it came out five days later – As I’ve said all along!,” the President wrote on Twitter.

Pfizer has denied any political reasoning for the announcement, and says that the vaccine will be available for Americans in 2021. Several other pharmaceutical companies are also set to announce their own vaccines in the near future.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has become known as the administration’s coronavirus czar, says some Americans could be vaccinated before the end of the year.

“You have to go through the hoops of making sure all of the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed about the safety and the regulatory aspects of it, but we would be giving vaccine to people very likely before the end of this year. That is good news,” he said.

Vaccines were a top issue going into the 2020 elections. During the run-up to the vote, many top Democrats suggested that they would not trust a vaccine developed during President Trump’s time in office. California Senator Kamala Harris, who is set to serve as Vice President as part of the Biden Administration, said she would not take a vaccine if Trump said to do so.

At this point, it’s a bit early to make any bold claims — there is no solid evidence of government agencies actively delaying such an announcement. But the President is right — the timing is certainly suspect — especially when it was reported on the same day that U.S. coronavirus cases eclipsed 10 million.

  1. Of course they colluded with the democrats, the crooked and greedy pharmaceutical companies are as corrupt as the democrat party.

  2. They of course colluded with the Democrats because President Trump kept on them to lower prices on medicines and was going to create a better way for Seniors to obtain prescription refills.

  3. Obviously colluding with the Democratic Party. But how do people feel about the totally irrational statement from Kamala? Potentially the next VP? Scary
