5 Foods that are Damaging Your Brain

Health is complex. After all, the human brain is the most complex physical object known to science. When you add in new knowledge- like, the state of our gut health has a strong influence on the sharpness of our minds- things get a heck of a lot more complicated really quickly.

There have been a lot of major revolutions in the way we understand health during the last ten years or so. For example, science has proven that cholesterol is not as bad for you as we thought, sugar is a poison, and salt is a necessary nutrient (real salt- not table salt).

These advances in understanding, while well substantiated, are so contrary to the work of institutions that have been in place for generations that the mainstream is not doing a good job keeping up. Just take the Food Pyramid, for example. Total bullhonkery! Bread is not your friend, and most of those green vegetables will be really hard to digest unless they are thoroughly steamed. Oh, and that stick of real butter you’ve been so afraid of all these years… that’s actually your friend. And margarine is poison.

We understand it’s hard to keep up with all the changes. So it’s sometimes helpful to find out some common things that are really bad for you that you’re probably eating every day. That sounds grim, but doing away with a few common mistakes can make a big difference. To that end, here’s Natural Cures with “5 Foods That Are Secretly Damaging Your Brain.”
