The Testosterone Scam That Kills Healthy Men

“Is it Low T?” Have you seen the TV commercials featuring a befuddled middle-aged man wandering around wondering what has become of his former self? He has no energy, a low libido, erectile dysfunction, and that spare tire he’s been trying to hide grows bigger every day.

Low testosterone is not a disease, it’s a natural part of the male aging process like hot flashes and menstrual cessation is for women. Abnormally low testosterone is rare yet, according to the commercials, any mature man who isn’t able to leap tall buildings in a single bound or make love every night suddenly has a “disease”.

Guys, more than likely, your testosterone levels aren’t nearly as low as these legal pill-pushers make them out to be. They’re just trying to sell a product. A product that has seen a 5-fold increase in its sales since 1993. Testosterone replacement therapy accounts for $5.3 million dollars worth of prescriptions sold each year due, largely in part, to direct-to-consumer advertising.

Testosterone Supplement Drugs May Kill Healthy Men

According to a study published by the Journal of American Medical Association, men who use testosterone supplements are 29 percent more likely to die from a heart attack or stroke after just three years of use. The androgens in synthetic male testosterone supplements may increase your heart attack risk by increasing arterial inflammation and raising your LDL “bad” cholesterol.

Testosterone replacement therapy can cause your liver to over-produce a protein called erythropoietin, which spurs the formation of blood clots. Improper use of TRT can greatly increase your chances of developing a blood clot that could lead to a stroke. Testosterone drugs have even been linked to the development of prostate disease and the worsening of sleep apnea.

A Decline in Testosterone Levels is Normal as You Age

According to Harvard Health Publications, the normal range of testosterone levels in healthy males is between 270 to 1,070 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dL). With such a wide range, you wouldn’t think as many men have low testosterone as the drug commercials suggest. Perhaps this is because any literature published by these companies states that Low T is anything below 300 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dL).

You Don’t Need Drugs to Boost Your Testosterone Levels

As you age, you have to put a bit more work toward maintaining the health, body, and hormone levels you enjoyed without effort in your twenties. Even if your testosterone levels are lower than they should be, you don’t need drugs to do the job.

Boost your testosterone safely and naturally with these tips instead:

  • Get Your Vitamin D Levels Checked

Vitamin D deficiency is the most common vitamin deficiency in the United States and Canada. If you have low testosterone, this could be one of the primary reasons. According to a recent metabolic research study, men who supplemented their diet with 3,332 I.U.s of vitamin D for one year noticed a marked increase in testosterone levels.

  • Shed Those Extra Pounds

Men who are significantly overweight, especially around the middle, have been shown to have increased estrogen levels and decreased testosterone levels. Taking steps to lose the weight can help balance your hormone levels while giving you back the confidence you may have lost over the past few years.

  • Increase Dietary Zinc Levels

Zinc is essential for the production of testosterone and many men have a deficiency in this mineral without being aware of it. Increase your intake of oysters, grass-fed beef, spinach, pumpkin seeds, cashews, organic dark chocolate, chicken, and beans. In addition, you might try a zinc supplement for a month or two to get your levels back to optimum range.

  • Exercise the Right Way

Exercise is a great way to boost your testosterone levels but some exercises are more effective than others. For example, studies have shown that short, but intense training is best. When you lift weights, increase the weight but lower the reps and lift the weights more slowly. This intensifies your workout and boosts your hormone levels naturally.

  • Reduce Your Stress Levels

Excess levels of the stress hormone, cortisol, can deplete your testosterone stores and leave you vulnerable to heart disease, stomach ulcers, and mood disorders. Take steps to reduce your stress levels in a healthy, productive way. Tackle a project you’ve been putting off, make a list, vent to a friend, take up a hobby, have sex, do yoga, or meditate.

Here at Health Scams Exposed, we give you the tools and information you need to treat common health problems naturally. If you have the symptoms of low testosterone, don’t feel you automatically have to ask your doctor for a pill. Follow the steps about to boost your testosterone levels naturally. You might be surprised at how much better you feel.
