The Dangers of Non-Stick Pans

There are a lot of things in our modern everyday environments that are hazardous to our health. We trade our health for convenience in so many cases that, when you really think about it- you’ll begin to wonder how much we have really gained.

With cancer-causing hormone disrupters in plastics, fluoride in the water, powerful antibiotics in our meat and dairy food, genetically modified organisms in our salads, harmful microwave radiation from our WiFi, and a rate of medical errors that accounts for more deaths than automobile accidents- it’s a wonder any of us make it to our mid-life crises. Of course, with everything we are learning about the poisons that exist in things we keep in and around our homes, we find new ways to avoid them and healthy alternatives we can use instead.

You will inevitably find, however, that healthier solutions generally mean more work and higher cost. We may have to cook more to avoid processed foods. We may also have to pay more to access healthy products that don’t contain toxic substances. Or we may have to find creative ways to spend time away from addictive technology. The average price of non-fluoride toothpaste is about $2.50 higher than toothpaste that contains the industrial waste product.

On the upside, you can look at that as a clear indicator of the fact that we are being subtly encouraged to eat things that hurt us. After all, why would it cost less to put fluoride into toothpaste? That’s a whole extra step! The fact is when you buy the safe kind- you’re actually paying them more to leave the poison out! You’ll also notice non-fluoride toothpaste has no poison control warning on the label.

We just found a report on another common kitchen item that is highly poisonous—non-stick pans. This video on non-stick pans is a must see for everyone.
