WATCH: Trump Speaks Out About His COVID Experience

President Donald Trump is back in the White House after a few days of treatment at the Walter Reed hospital — just a week after being diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.

Despite experiencing the symptoms associated with the disease, the president is using his recover as an opportunity to continue advocating for a gradual reopening of the country’s economic activities.

“Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life!” Trump said in a video posted to his Twitter account, which you can watch below:

After it was announced that President Trump was diagnosed with COVID-19, it was soon reported that he was experiencing shortness of breath at was being cared for at Walter Reed Hospital. The President was never intubated or put on a ventilator.

Trump’s supporters immediately started open prayer sessions for the health of the President and his family. At the same time, the left began most distastefully wishing “COVID” well, proclaiming that they hope Trump dies from the disease.

Michael Moore, the former filmmaker and current conspiracy imaginer, has repeatedly expressed his wish that Trump die from the disease. Strangely, he has also written at length about his belief that Trump is faking the illness in order to win sympathy points. The entire leftist media establishment agrees, in fact, that Trump is “pretending” to be well so that he can remain in the election.

Back in the real world, President Trump went live to send a video message to the nation. His hair was a little mussed, and he looked a bit pale, but he otherwise seemed energetic. He promised to make a surprise visit to some of his supporters who had gathered on the street outside of the hospital. Minutes later, he kept that promise and drove by the supporters in his motorcade. The windows were closed and he had a mask on as he waved at the cheering crowd.

Back in Clown World, the leftist media called this drive-by waving “irresponsible,” and “self-serving.”

But here in reality, we found it endearing. Over the last few days, Trump supporters of all nationalities, colors, men, and women, have come out to pray for the President and to express gratitude for the work he has done to restore this country to greatness.

At the same time, the President has displayed genuine appreciation for this outpouring of goodwill, and he has returned the gesture.

This moment in time, when the election is near and the President has fallen ill, may go down in history as a defining moment for both sides on the political divide. While the Leftists unabashedly wish for a man to die, insult him and his family at every turn, and place their venomous natures on full display, the President’s supporters pray, express love, and stand peacefully, united in support of a man who they believe is doing the right thing.

On one side we see naked depravity. On the other, love, gratitude, and solidarity.

At the end of the day, Trump’s chances of surviving the virus are exceedingly good. While his chances are not as good as a younger, fitter man — they are still well above 95%. All things considered, he is close to the highest risk category for death from COVID. The only way his chances could be lower would be if he had an underlying illness.

All that being the case, he is doing well and is expected to recover fully. When he does, he will be the world’s most visible example of just how overblown the lethality of this disease really is.
