Smart Meters Are a Dumb, Unhealthy Idea

Sometimes products and devices have names that are completely misleading. “Smart meters” definitely fit that category. You see, although they are touted as being really wonderful devices that help to make energy usage more efficient, they are actually harboring a dark secret. That is, they can be very damaging to human health.

A range of serious health problems, including cancer

In fact, research has shown that smart meters contribute to a range of serious health problems, including neurological issues, migraine headaches, other headaches, insomnia, heart palpitations, nausea, insomnia, sinus problems, nose bleeds and even cancer. That includes brain cancer and breast cancer. Yes, researchers at San Diego University discovered that smart meters can contribute to the development of brain cancer.

Pertaining to the concern about cancer, the World Health Organization (WHO) has classified non-ionizing microwave radiation, which smart meters produce, as a Class 2B Carcinogen. A carcinogen is anything that causes cancer.

Speaking of research, the government and the smart phone industry have still not completed adequate research into the short- and long-term effects of smart meters. Apparently they expect humans to just be guinea pigs.

1 smart meter, as much radiation as 160 mobile phones

So how much of that harmful radiation does a smart meter on the side of your home emit? Short answer: A lot. It is truly shocking and disturbing that one smart meter can emit as much radiation as 160 mobile phones. Yet power companies try to act like the devices are just sitting there innocently doing their job.

But Dr. Frank Springbob looked at samples of people’s blood under black-field microscopy, and after just one minute of being a foot away from a smart meter, the evidence was clear as to how much health was being negatively affected.

Here is what Springbob said:

“The results were shocking and included corrugated blood cells as well as red blood cell clumping to what were healthy cells before exposure. These are all signs of free-radical damage.”

Other problems with smart meters

In addition to the negative health effects, smart meters also introduce other problems. For example, they may create fire hazards and may be used as a way to track people’s energy usage in their own homes. So they introduce privacy concerns.

Because of this multitude of serious problems, it really makes no sense that smart meters are even used, let alone that in many towns and cities throughout the United States, people are forced to have smart meters installed on the homes they own.

What the public can do

Rather than feeling helpless and hopeless about smart meters and all the other radiating-producing devices and equipment that are so prevalent in today’s society, there are certain things that people can do to counteract the negative health effects. For one, if you do not already have a smart meter at your home, see if you can avoid getting one. In some cities and towns, power companies are more understanding about customers who prefer to opt out of getting smart meters.

Talk with your doctor about the health effects of smart meters, and ask what he or she recommends. Some practitioners are more aware and informed about issues like smart meters, with functional medicine and holistic types tending to be more helpful when it comes to issues like that.

There are certain products on the market that claim to help with counteracting the health effects of smart meters. Thoroughly research to verify that any product you are considering buying really does work. Some of the products available may be beneficial, so consider adding to your strategy for counteracting smart meter radiation.

There tends to be a cumulative effect from the various devices that emit radiation, such as smart meters, Wi-Fi equipment, cell phone towers, mobile phones, cordless home phones and more. Minimize your use of such devices wherever possible. Ideally make sure your home is a safe distance from any cell phone towers.

It is pretty clear that smart meters are not a smart or bright idea at all. In fact, they are a pretty dumb idea. Fortunately, there are some ways you can get around some of the harmful effects. And one of the first steps is simply being informed and spreading the word to your family and friends.
